Ritmo is four generative-art studios sharing one canvas and one engine — layered noise waves, blurred form grids, kaleidoscopic snowflakes and image displacement. Design in your browser, export up to 4K. Free to start.
Every workspace speaks a different dialect, all rendered from the same shared core.

The workspaces
4 engines. One studio.
Switch from a single tab bar. Each is an isolated sketch with its own control panel — but they share palettes, presets and export.
RITMO
Free
Layered noise waves
Wave and stripe forms driven by layered simplex noise, with HSLuv-generated palettes, three colour-sorting modes, gradient fills and strokes, dash patterns and 20 built-in presets.
BORRO
Free
Blurred form grids
A grid of rounded rects or SVG shapes with per-form blur and blend modes, composited through a gaussian-blur framebuffer and a film-grain shader. 150 LCH palettes and 22 presets.
COPO
Pro
Kaleidoscopic snowflakes
Thousands of shapes sampled on a grid and driven by 4D simplex noise with branch symmetry, swirl, pattern tiling and image masks. 19 shape types, 1000 palettes, 29 presets and SVG export.
REFRAC
Pro
Image displacement
A source photo run through box, flow and sine displacement shaders and a refract-grid skew, with texture wrap modes and 14 presets. Turn any image into flowing abstraction.
The shared engine
Different outputs. Same DNA.
One architecture behind every workspace. Everything you learn in one carries to the next.
1
p5.js instance mode
Each studio is an isolated sketch, code-split and lazy-loaded on first open. Heavy libraries load only when the studio that needs them does.
2
Palette generation
HSLuv and LCH colour math produce over a thousand perceptually even generative palettes — shared across every studio.
3
Live control panel
A declarative, numbered control panel for every parameter, with autosave per studio. Tune it, leave, come back to it.
The full rack
25 modules. 4 workspaces.
Every generator, filter and colour engine on board.
Subscriptions run through Stripe. Sign in inside the app to start.
What's new
Shipped, and still shipping.
Ritmo updates in place — open it and you have the latest.
1.0.0
Ritmo moved to its own home at ritmo.legenki.com.
Opens straight into the studio — no landing page in the way.
Fixed COPO failing to load, which also broke its SVG export.
Fixed a white flash while the theme was being applied.
0.9.1
Accounts moved onto the shared studio engine.
The monthly price now reads $8, matching what Stripe actually charges.
Closed a hole where a hand-edited preset file could corrupt the page it was loaded into.
0.9.0
A new landing page and a calmer canvas.
A gallery of finished pieces you can open full size.
Canvas ratio moved to a floating pill, and it no longer stacks up after you rebuild a workspace.
All four studios now centre in the same work area, with the canvas shadow anchored to the artwork instead of the window.
Sliders fill the part of the track you have used.
0.8.0
Faster to open, lighter to run.
The studio loads what a workspace needs when you open it, instead of everything up front.
Preview quality adapts to your device, and workspaces you have left are released — long sessions stop slowing down.
Mobile drawer layout, export progress, and a theme that is remembered between visits.
0.7.0
Ritmo listens — drive the artwork with a track.
Load an audio file and let its frequency bands modulate the drawing, in all four studios.
A player in the panel, with an animated equalizer in place of the old pause icon.
0.6.1
COPO takes your shapes too.
Upload an SVG into COPO, or drop it on the canvas — multi-path files included.
REFRAC drops the random stock photo button; upload your own image instead.
Fixed Random Parameters crashing RITMO, and a crash on gradients built from certain palettes.
0.6.0
Bring your own shapes to BORRO.
Upload or drop an SVG and the grid draws with your shape.
Fixed a run of failures that could leave BORRO blank — shader crashes, palettes that came out as invalid colours, and shapes that vanished when a saved session was restored.
0.5.1
No more blank start.
Fixed the studio failing to open when accounts were unavailable.
Tab handling, throttling and general interface polish.
0.5.0
The free and Pro split.
RITMO and BORRO stay free. COPO and REFRAC, MP4 and SVG export and the Pro presets need a subscription.
Every studio's presets are now split into a free set and a Pro set.
0.4.0
Accounts arrive.
Sign in with Google and your plan follows you between devices.
Subscribe through Stripe, monthly or yearly, from inside the studio.
0.3.0
All 85 presets renamed and retuned.
Short, mood-based preset names across the four studios, with COPO's text masks refreshed to match.
Fixed palettes that produced invalid colours, which showed up as washed-out or black output.
0.2.0
Presets you can keep.
Export any studio's current state as a preset file, and import one back.
Upload your own mask image in COPO and your own source photo in REFRAC.
Fixed workspaces starting to draw before their presets had finished loading.
